Portorož, Italian Portorose, more rarely German Rosenhafen, is part of the municipality Piran and is often referred to as the Monte Carlo of Slovenia. In contrast to the medieval Piran, modern architecture with large hotel complexes predominates in Portorož.

By plane
The regional airfield 1 Aerodrome Portorož is located near Sečovlje, just under a kilometer north of the border with Croatia. The eponymous tourist resort Portorož is about 6 kilometers away.
The runway measures 1200 x 30 meters and has lighting for night landings. The airport offers air-taxi flights, panoramic flights, a flight school, parachuting, minibus transfers, a restaurant and car rentals.

- Forma Viva. An exhibition park with stone sculptures on the ridge of the Seca peninsula. Since 1961, predominantly abstract sculptures made exclusively of Istrian stone have been created there as part of the international sculpture meeting Forma Viva. From there you have a wide view over the bay in front of Portorose.Price: Admission is free.
- Beli Križ. The white cross.
- The historical Salt warehouse is now also used as a gallery
- The hotel complex St. Bernardin with its modern architecture lies in the direction of Piran.
- The Villa Maria from 1895, by Marco Moso, is uninhabited today.
