Dąbrowski Poviat - Powiat dąbrowski

Dąbrowski Poviat - poviat in Poland in in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, created in 1999 as part of an administrative reform. Its seat is in the city Dąbrowa Tarnowska.

The area of ​​the poviat is 530 km², the population in 2016 was 59,314 inhabitants, i.e. the population density was 111.9 people / km² and urbanization was 19.25%.

The poviat consists of:

  • cities: Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Szczucin
  • urban-rural communes: Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Szczucin
  • rural communes: Bolesław, Gręboszów, Mędrzechów, Olesno, Radgoszcz.

The Tarnów-Szczucin railway line, built in 1906, runs through the Dąbrowski County. Passenger transport on the Tarnów-Szczucin line was suspended due to unprofitability. However, goods are transported irregularly.

The most important road in the poviat is the national road No. 73 Wiśniówka-Jaslo running from the north to the south through the main town of the Dąbrowa Tarnowska poviat. The voivodeship road no. 973 runs through the western part of the poviat Tarnow-Busko-Zdrój. The provincial road No. 982 Szczucin-Jaślany runs through the north-eastern part of the poviat. A short section of the provincial road No. 984 Lisia Góra-Radomyśl Wielki-Mielec runs through the southern end of the poviat. The provincial road No. 975 Dąbrowa Tarnowska - Dąbrowa (Nowosądecki poviat) begins in Dąbrowa Tarnowska. The poviat's road network is made up of numerous local roads.
