The maritime provinces are located in the east of Canada and include thePrince Edward Island, the New Brunswick and the New Scotland. They are often referred to simply as the Maritimes.

The Maritime provinces are located on the coast Atlantic from Canada and include three provinces: New Brunswick, the New Scotland and thePrince Edward Island. They are part of Atlantic provinces. The Maritimes are located northeast of the New England, south-east of the Gaspé Peninsula to Quebec and southwest of the island of Newfoundland.
The Maritime provinces comprise the majority of the population Acadian, the descendants of the first settlers French. They also form a third of the population in New Brunswick. They are also the territory of the Mi'kmaq, Maliseet and Passamaquoddys, three Amerindian nations.
