This area has small towns and villages that hug the coast, and is located east of the city of Quebec and south of the San Lorenzo River.
The Gaspé (or Gaspésie) is considered particularly scenic.

- Rivière-du-Loup - City located on the southern bank of the San Lorenzo River.

- Gaspésie National Park - Located in the heart of the Gaspé (or Gaspésie) peninsula whose main attraction is the Chic-Choc mountains which are among the highest in the Quebec.
