This area has small towns and villages that hug the coast, and is located east of the city of Quebec and south of the San Lorenzo River.

The Gaspé (or Gaspésie) is considered particularly scenic.

  • Gaspé - City in the Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine region.
  • Matane - Port city located at the mouth of the homonymous river.
  • Why - Small town at the tip of the Gaspé peninsula.
  • Rimouski - Located on the south bank of the Rimouski River, the San Lorenzo estuary, and offers numerous tourist attractions.
  • Rivière-du-Loup - City located on the southern bank of the San Lorenzo River.

  • Cacouna - Small town on the San Lorenzo River and member of the Most beautiful villages in Québec.
  • Gaspésie National Park - Located in the heart of the Gaspé (or Gaspésie) peninsula whose main attraction is the Chic-Choc mountains which are among the highest in the Quebec.
