Ragueneau is located in the regional county municipality of Manicouagan on the North Coast to Quebec at the mouth of the Outard River on the St. Lawrence River. This is the gateway to the Manicouagan peninsula. Located along the coast of the St. Lawrence River and Route 138, the main road in the region, it is one of the longest villages in Quebec.

Ragueneau includes the tourist information office for the Manicouagan peninsula region.
