The region Kouga is located in the southwest of the province Eastern Cape.

The region Kouga lies between the Tsitsikamma Nountains and the Tsitsikamma National Park in the south and the Karoo Heartland in the North. In the east it borders on the metropolitan region Nelson Mandela Bay, in the west it merges into the Garden Route. That is a core part of the region Langkloof Valley, that of the R62 is crossed. In the north of the region runs the R332 through the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve.
