Urban centers
- Ağdaş - Capital of the district of the same name.
- Ağstafa - The city is located on one of the main east-west Azerbaijani railway lines connecting the capital, Baku, with the rest of the country.
- Bərdə - Ancient capital of Caucasian Albania, located on the Tartar River.
- Daskashan
- Goranboy - Capital of the district of the same name.
- Gäncä (or Ganja) - The city is the second largest city in theAzerbaijan and rises within the country, halfway between Tbilisi is Baku.
- Göygöl (or Khanlar) - A local museum displays artifacts (e.g. bronze weapons, jewelry, pottery, etc.) extracted from a vast cemetery excavated in 1990.
- Mingəçevir - The city is crossed by the Kura River which divides it in two.
- Naftalan - On an agricultural plain near the small Caucasus Mountains.

- Qazax (or Qazakh) - 10 km from the Transcaucasian railway station of Ağstafa.
