By plane

Dresden Airport

By train

Long-distance trains go to Dresden Hbf or Dresden-Neustadt, then continue with the S1 S-Bahn to Pirna or Königstein and by bus to Rosenthal-Bielatal (see mobility).

In the street

At Dreden on the A 17 to the Pirna exit - from there the B 172 towards Bad Schandau to Königstein. Then by bus to Rosenthal-Bielatal.

By boat

From Dresden / Terrassenufer you take the ships of the Saxon Steamship Company to Koenigstein. Then by bus to Rosenthal-Bielatal.

Lines 242 and 245 run all week to Königstein and Pirna. In summer they drive with a bicycle trailer and from "Rosenthal Fußweg zum Schneeberg" further than 217 to Tisa and Bahratal border crossing. On weekdays, line 247 goes to Bad Gottleuba.

The upper Bielatal is particularly rich in bizarrely shaped rock towers such as the Hercules columns, Johanniwacht or Sachsenstein. A lot of these rocks present themselves in the middle of the forest in strange weathering forms. Bennohöhle, Schwedenhöhle and Eisloch are all to be explored.
