The Masai Mara National Reserve, also written Maasai Mara, is a kenya park. It is the only Kenyan national park that is not managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service.
Understand
The park, which takes its name from the Maasai tribe (although the exact spelling is Maasai) living on its land, straddles Kenya and Tanzania (where it is called Serengeti). It is a large expanse of savannah, slightly hilly crossed by the meanders of several rivers such as the Talek river or the Mara River.
Very many animals including the famous "big five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo). Possibility of flying over the morning in a hot air balloon; unforgettable but very expensive (US $ 425 per person). The most famous natural event remains the passage of the Mara River by millions of zebras and wildebeest. The transhumance takes place from July (sometimes as early as June as in 2016) until mid-October.
Routing possible by 4x4 or by plane via the internal lines of Kenya Aiways or from Fly540 to the many Lodges and Campsites in the reserve.
