Ferry and industrial port
- Cork has different port areas.
- The terminal for the car ferries is in the area Ringaskiddy. It is located 20 km southeast of Cork, 8 km east of the airport, on the west bank of the mouth of the Lee "Cork Harbor". Ringaskiddy is a customs free port.
- The car ferries go to / from Cork not all year round!
- Goes in summer Brittany Ferries Regularly the route Roscoff - Cork and back. Price examples: Two pedestrians / double cabins in the main travel season cost 700 EUR, with a car it costs 1120 EUR, each round trip.
- The line Swansea - Cork is currently not served!

- By train from Cork via Johnstown
- Take the car ferry from Glenbrook, halfway between Cork and Ringaskiddy
- A road bridge (R 624) connects Cobh with the N 25.

No possibility of crossing exists at the place with the misleading name "East Ferry"; it refers to a former ferry.
