South Georgia is the western archipelago of the British Overseas Territory South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The main island of the archipelago, the largest and only inhabited in the territory, also bears this name.
The capital "city" of the territory Grytviken, a tiny former fishing village, is located on the north coast of the island.
