  • Sa Dec city is a provincial city of Dong Thap province, Vietnam, is the economic, financial, educational and cultural center of the province. Sa Dec was recognized by the Government of Vietnam as a city directly under Dong Thap province on October 14, 2013 under Resolution No. 113/NQ-CP. Sa Dec city was recognized as a grade II city on February 10, 2018.
  • Sa Dec was once again the provincial capital of the old Sa Dec province in the French colonial period before 1956 and in the period 1966-1975 under the Republic of Vietnam. In particular, the old town of Sa Dec held the role of the provincial capital of Dong Thap province during the period 1976-1994, and then according to Decree No. 36-CP issued on April 29, 1994, the provincial capital of Dong Thap province. The tower was moved to Cao Lanh town (today Cao Lanh city) until now.

Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Village, one of the ornamental flower centers of the South. The area is about 60ha with 600 households and 3,600 employees specializing in growing flowers and ornamental plants. Visitors can see here rare ornamental plants, hundreds of years old.
