Saint-Didier is a municipality of Vaucluse in Provence.

Understand

The town has been inhabited since Roman times and, then, placed under the protection of the god March. The surrounding quarries were already in use: an anthropomorphic stele, of more than 5,000 years, found in the south of Luberon, To Lauris, is made from a stone from Saint-Didier. In 1518, and following the request of twenty local heads of families, the parish of Saint-Didier became an independent parish from that of Beaucet, to which it was then attached.
