Samford - Samford

Samford is a town in South East Queensland. Samford Village (population 749) is 21 km north-west of central Brisbane. Samford Valley stretches further to the west of the village.

Understand

Samford Valley is a beautiful country getaway around 30 minutes drive from the Brisbane CBD. There is rolling green hills, bushwalking, a historic hamlet with lots of cafes, shops, museums, heritage buildings and a beautiful country tavern. This is a great location to take the family out for a day trip to the country, less than an hour from Brisbane CBD.

Get in

There is not much in the way of public transport to Samford Valley. There is a train that goes to Ferny Grove (end of the line). But it is probably a good hour to walk from there. Not recommended in the summer months.

Get around

The historical hamlet of Samford Village can easily be navigated by foot. If you plan to look around the greater Samford Valley area, then you are best to have a car.
