      San Francisco - The center de facto from which the other territories that make up the bay unfold and refer.
      San Francisco North Bay - The point of arrival for those crossing the Golden Gate from San Francisco and including the counties of Marin, Solano and the southern parts of Sonoma and Napa.
      San Francisco East Bay - It lies along the San Francisco Bay and includes the counties of Contra Costa and Alameda. Oakland is its most populous city and Berkeley one of the main destinations.
      San Francisco Peninsula - Made up of San Mateo County.
      San Francisco South Bay - Santa Clara County, south of San Francisco Peninsula and of San Francisco East Bay, is anchored to the most populous city of the bay: San Jose.
