to buy
A large proportion of the visitors to San Marino do not come for the sights, but for the shopping opportunities.
San Marino issues its own stamps that can be bought here at face value. Otherwise there are tons of shops and stalls, in the old town of the Cittá for odds and ends and souvenirs of all kinds and small things such as leather goods, clothing and the most expensive watches, on the access street of Rimini there are various shopping malls for everything else.
kitchen
Basically you get everything from Italian cuisine here. Whether pizza, pasta, fish is also often offered. In a few restaurants there are fornarias, pizzas without tomato sauce, traditionally only with olive oil, coarse salt and rosemary, but sometimes also with prosciutto crudo, which are a specialty of San Marino and Rimini.
Most old town restaurants close when it gets dark, the shops close and the day-trippers disappear.
nightlife
accommodation
Many visitors stay overnight in Rimini, but they miss the evening quiet in the old town streets. In Cittá di San Marino there are a good dozen hotels (from 40 €), some of them within the city walls. It is worth looking for rooms with a view.
There are other hotels in Borgo Maggiore, Serravalle and Domagnano, one each in Acquaviva and Chiesanuova. Bed & Breakfast is only available in Borgo Maggiore and Serravalle, a hostel in Borgo Maggiore.
