Saint Nicholas of the Streams - San Nicolás de los Arroyos

City View.

St nicolas de los Arroyos is a town Argentina, located at the northern end of the Buenos Aires province, near the city of rosary beads. It is the head of the San Nicolás party.

The city is located on the edge of an arm of the Paraná River, in the Zárate-Rosario industrial corridor. It borders to the south with the district of Pergamino, to the east with Ramallo, to the west with the Arroyo Yaguarón, and to the north with the Arroyo del Medio, natural limit with the Province of Santa Fe. From these natural limits its name arises "de los Arroyos ". San Nicolás does not adjoin the Paraná river that just caresses the coasts of the district of Ramallo with its waters, the same place where the Siderar steel factory, of the Techint group, is located.

To get

Its road accesses are km 231 of National Route 9 (Rosario-Buenos Aires highway) in a north-south direction. National Route 188 in an east-west direction connects it with the Pacific Ocean corridor.

On the other hand, it is crossed by the General Miter railway, operated by the Nuevo Central Argentino company, in a north-south direction.

The city has a bus terminal station called "Terminal de ómnibus del Pueblo de San Nicolás" and a loading-unloading port with railways at the foot of cranes of the Paraná river waterway, which serves the industrial and cereal activity .

The project of regionalization of the provinces of Argentina was presented in 2010,[1] considers San Nicolás head, together with the city of Pergamino, of one of the four regions (Region I) in which the provincial interior would be divided.

National Route 188 is born in San Nicolás, which ends in San Rafael (Mendoza). It serves as a connection with the city of Pergamino where it connects with National Route 8, reaching the south of the province of Córdoba, the province of San Luis, the Province of Mendoz and the Republic of Chile. Route 188 leads directly to Puerto Nuevo de San Nicolás, suitable for deep draft vessels. From it, cereals, irons, steels and different raw materials go to different parts of the world.
