Schiers is a village in the lower Prättigau, it is located in a basin after the Klus at the confluence of the screw axis in the Landquart. To the political community Schiers, which extends in a northerly direction to the watershed to the Montafon resp. of Rätikon extends, the fractions Lunden, Fajauna, Stels, Maria-Montagna, Pusserein and Schuders belong.

In the valley, which was already settled in the Bronze and Iron Ages, existed since the 5th / 6th. Century already a valley church, the village Scieres and the valley church of St. Johann were first mentioned in a document in 1101.

The nearest international airport is the airport Zurich(IATA: ZRH). From there you can take the trains of the SBB to Davos, in Landquart you have to switch to the narrow-gauge RhB.
By train / by bus

- Salginatobel Bridge. The Salginatobel Bridge can certainly be described as the greatest attraction in the municipality of Schiers. It is located on the road from Schiers to Schuders and is one of the Worldmonuments of the American Civil Engineers Association.
