Scotts Valley is a city on the central California coast. The small town on Carbonera Creek offers hardly any classic sights apart from a vehicle museum, but it may be cheaper as an overnight location (i.e. if you don't like very simple motels) than the one only 10 minutes away Santa Cruz and the very expensive one 35 minutes away San Jose.
