Sengkang is a city in southern Sulawesi.

For most travelers, Sengkang is a transit station halfway between the beach town Bira in the extreme southwest of the island and the highlands Tana Toraja or its main town Rantepao.

getting there

Buses and Kinjangs go from the centrally located bus and bemo stations, especially in the morning and in the morning

Conversely, buses and Kinjangs from these places arrive in Sengkang, especially in the (late) afternoon.

Floating village on the Dunau Tempe
  • The lake is a few kilometers from the city center Dunau Tempe on which there are a few floating gardens and houses (floating village).
