Sidmant or Sidmant el-Gebel (also Sedment, Arabic:سدمنت الجبل‎, Sidmant al-Ǧabal) is a village and an archaeological site in the egyptian Governorate Beni Suef, about 7 kilometers northwest of Ihnāsyā el-Madīna, the ancient Herakleopolis Magna. There are extensive cemeteries here that were laid out between the early dynastic period and the New Kingdom.
