SoHo is a district of Manhattan.

To know

SoHo it is one of the most interesting areas of Manhattan to New York, sandwiched between Houston Street to the north, Lafayette Street to the east, Canal Street to the south, and Hudson River to the west. The name of the area derives from the presumed similarity with the homonymous area of London and from the fact that it is "I knowuth of I haveuston "(south of Houston). SoHo was a neighborhood bohemian of artists who lived in various lofts, not even recognized as legal residences, and very particular art galleries. Today it has become so expensive that many of the galleries have moved to the western edge of Chelsea, while artists have had to abandon it en masse in search of places where rents are much lower. Today SoHo is an upscale boutique neighborhood, but its narrow streets still retain some of the original charm, and even though the Broadway crowds between Houston Street and Spring Street can be nerve-wracking, it's still a nice neighborhood to walk around.
