Srebrna Góra(German: Silberberg) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship between the Owl Mountains and the Warthagebirge, Mountain ranges of the Medium brews. Its location makes the place an important center of tourism. The place is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains. He is especially for that Silberberg Fortress known from the 18th century, one of the largest plants of this type in Central Europe.

The place was created in the 14th century as a mining settlement. He received city rights in 1536. In 1742/1763 the city came to Prussia. From 1765 to 1778 Frederick the Great had one of the largest fortifications in Prussia built here to protect the newly conquered territories from the Habsburgs. The fortress was left untouched. In 1900 the city got a connection to the Owl Mountain Railway. In 1945 she came to Poland. In 2015, a previously unknown silver mine was found. It is planned to secure this and make it accessible to tourists.
