Stronie Śląskie(German: Side mountain) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship not far from the sources of the Landecker Biele in the south of the Glatzer Ländchens between the Glatzer snow mountains, the Bielen Mountains and the Reichensteiner Mountains in the Medium brews. Its location makes the place an important center of tourism and especially winter sports in the Glatzer Ländchen. The city is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains.

As a town it was first mentioned in 1346 as a center of iron ore mining. In the Thirty Years War the place fell. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia. In 1897 the place was connected to the rail network of the Bieletalbahn. The place continued to develop, with the exception of the times of the world wars. In 1945 he came to Poland.
