Strunjan, Italian Strugnano, is part of the municipality Piran in a bay with a nature reserve and salt works.
Tourist Attractions
- Strunjan salt pans. They are the northernmost still managed salt pans in the Mediterranean. They were described as early as 804 and in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries.
- Pine Alley. With 116 pine trees.
- Strunjan cliff. The 80 meter high Strunjan cliff is the largest of its kind on the entire Adriatic.
- Mesečev zaliv. The moon bay.

- Bike tours and hikes through the municipality of Piran on the well-developed bike and hiking trails along the coast and overland.
Regular events
- Praznik Kakijev. The kakis festival takes place every year in mid-November in the parking lot in front of the Primorka restaurant. From Friday to Sunday there is a market with persimmon fruits and other typical delicacies from the area.
