Szczytna

Szczytna(German: Rückers) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship at the Reinerzer Weistritz in the Glatzer Ländchen between the mountain ranges of the Habelschwerdter Mountains and des Heuscheuergebirge the Medium brews. Its location makes the place an important center of tourism in the Glatzer Ländchen. The city is the starting point for hiking in the surrounding mountains.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1347. The originally profitable mining came to a standstill with the Thirty Years War. First the place was destroyed by imperial troops in 1627 and by Swedish troops in 1646. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia. In 1890 he was connected to the railway network.
