São Paulo is a state of south-eastern brazil. It is undoubtedly the economic power of the country, contributing on its own to a third of the Brazilian GDP. For visitors, the state is best known for its huge and somewhat chaotic capital, São Paulo. However, the state's vast countryside offers plenty of other destinations to enjoy, including amazing beaches surrounded by rainforest, a rich Italian and Japanese heritage blended seamlessly with the local Caipira culture, and thriving and relaxing small towns that can make you forget you are in a developing country.
