Taichung (臺中市) is a city in Taiwan.
background
Founded in the 17th century, the centrally located village quickly grew into a city that is now home to various industries. The city is contrary to Taipei not overcrowded with high-rise buildings and has developed its own charm due to the large number of foreigners, especially from Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
