Tourist Attractions

Although tourists like cities Isfahan or Shiraz prefer also has the city Tehran their charms. With its big bazaar (bazar-e-bozorg) in the south of the city, which is as big as the Zürcher Is the old town, the city is definitely worth a visit. Of course, the city also has other bazaars. In the vicinity of the big bazaar is the old town of Tehran. The houses there are a bit older and smaller and there are more mosques and mausoleums than in the rest of the city. The city also has many old parks and gardens. There are particularly many palaces. Such as: The Golestan Palace or the many palaces of the last Shah. Otherwise, the city of Tehran is a smelly juggernaut, with huge skyscrapers and lots and lots of concrete. There are many trips to the Elburs Mountains to the north. The air there is a lot cleaner and there are many mountain villages that invite you to take a break. In the same mountain range lies the highest mountain in Iran: the Demawend. More precisely, the Demawend is an extinct volcano. There are many ski resorts in this area that are great for skiing and snowboarding.
