Telendos is an island of Dodecanese.
To know
Telendos is an islet that stands out less than 1 km from the western side of Kalymnos (Kalymnos), one of the largest islands in the Dodecanese. It has an area of about 5 km² and coasts that extend for 13 km. It is a rocky and barren island but with a beautiful sea that recalls that of its neighbors Cyclades. Telendos was joined to Kalymnos by an isthmus of land. He separated from it in 535 AD. following a violent earthquake. According to the historian Agathias the earthquake lasted 15 days.

- Chora Telendo - The only village on the island. It faces the small seaside resort of Myrtiès on the island of Kalymnos (Kalymnos). Numerous boats shuttle between the two centers from 7 in the morning until midnight.
- Hohlakas - A beach where people usually go in the afternoon to admire superb sunsets.
How to get
By plane
The nearest international airport is that of Coo with scheduled flights from Italian airports. From Kos it will be necessary to embark for Kalymnos (Kalymno) and again from the village of Myrtiès.

What see
In the localities of Pefkì and Tholaria, ruins from the Roman period have been unearthed with traces of a theater carved into the rock and early Christian basilicas.
