The Terrain spa trails are seven hiking and walking trails with a total length of around 50 kilometers through the Habichtswald and the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, which since June 23, 2013 the title UNESCO World Heritage Site that have been created according to scientific criteria. In 2014, the route network of the local hiking trails previously known as Kurwege was redesigned, and seven new terrain health trails were created from the nine spa trails.

The numbering of the terrain spa trails indicates the level of difficulty of the hiking trails. While paths 1-4 are the easiest to walk, a hike on paths 5 and 6 is more strenuous, among other things because more vertical meters have to be conquered. The terrain cure path number 7 is ultimately the most physically strenuous hiking trail. The degree of difficulty depends on the power used, measured in watts for the terrain spa trails and indicated with one to three hearts, from 50 watts up to 250 watts.

Route profile
The terrain spa trails have an average length of 6.9 kilometers and usually run over paved paths, so that they are usually easy to walk on in dry weather even without special footwear. Five of the total of seven hiking trails are circular routes and, like all terrain health trails, begin and end at a large parking lot or at a tram or bus stop that is frequently used. There are several sights, excursion restaurants and a total of five Kneipp facilities on the edge of the terrain cure trails. The latter are open to the public and free of charge, from May 1st to October 3rd, just like the Water features, in operation and to be found at the Habichtswaldklinik, the Löwenburg, the Sybillengrotte, the Prinzenquelle and at the Dönchebach.
