Teupitz is a small town in Dahme Lake District in Brandenburg.
background
The small town is a typical example of a Brandenburg country town in a wonderful location directly on Lake Teupitz.
getting there
The closest railway station is located in Great Koris. Regional trains connect this hourly with Berlin-Ostkreuz (journey time approx. 35 minutes). Buses run between the train station and the Teupitz market square.
About the Highway Berlin-Dresden (A13), the city can be reached from the Teupitz and Groß Köris exits. More scenic, however, is, for example, the country road running parallel to the motorway Mittenwalde along the Motzener See.

The city center is small and can therefore be easily explored on foot. However, a car makes sense to get to the districts or the neighboring towns, as the buses rarely run, especially on weekends. Alternatively, you can take your bike on the train to Groß Köris and explore the area by bike from there.
Parking in the city center can be problematic, especially on weekends. However, there is a free one P. parking spot a little south of the market square on Baruther Strasse.
Tourist Attractions
The small town center around the 1 Marketplace with the nicely renovated houses is very worth seeing. A short path leads to the north corner 2 Holy Spirit Church, Kirchstrasse 3. The town church from 1346 has been expanded again and again over the years, e.g. the tower was built in 1566. The organ from 1694 was restored in the eighties.
If you follow Kirchstraße you come to the 1929 created 3 Fontanepark with the Pier, from which you have a beautiful view of the city and the lake. This is at the end of Kirchstrasse on the peninsula Lock, which is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited.
