On October 1, 2012, the village had 110 inhabitants.
Geography
It is situated on Lake Tomickie (47 ha), to the north. west from Steszew (commune) to the southwest of Poznan, by Lake Tomickie, by road 306, approx. 3 km south of the A2 motorway.
History
In its history, it was the seat of the Tomicki family, coat of arms of Łódź, the birthplace of Piotr Tomicki. The name of the village comes from the surname of the Tomicki family, owners of the local area.

Late Gothic Church of st. Barbara
- St. Barbara, late gothic, around 1770, partially rebuilt in the baroque style. Early Baroque main altar in front of the Polish 17th century, with a statue of St. Anna Samotrzenie. In the rococo left side altar there is a painting of the Mother of God from the second half of the 16th century (according to Albrecht Dürer). 2 tombstones: gothic-renaissance sandstone, from the beginning of the 16th century and Renaissance bronze, made in 1524, probably in the famous Vischer foundry in Nuremberg. The record, considered one of the best works of art of the Renaissance period in Greater Poland, was funded by his father Piotr Tomicki (1464-1535), born in Tomice, bishop of Poznań and Kraków, crown vice-chancellor, one of the most outstanding people of the Renaissance in Poland. 2 bells: from the 16th and 17th centuries

- Source - of the high-lift type, with crystal clear water, it flows from a steep slope in the forest near the Żarnowiec settlement, 1.5 km to the north. east from Tomic. In 1994, the "Spring", as the only one in Greater Poland, was declared a natural monument. The stream flowing from the spring is enclosed in a stone channel, creating cascades.
- There is a small enclave not far from Tomice Wielkopolski National Park, covering a valuable ornithological area - the "Trzcielińskie Bagno" nature reserve.
