The Great Poplar is a village of about 600 inhabitants, located in Greater Poland Voivodeshipin the middle Ostrów County and in the northwest the commune of Przygodzice.

It is located approximately 8 km southwest of Ostrów Wielkopolski (accessible by public transport buses) and is located by the district road Janków Przygodzki - Big tarchały. At a distance of about 2 km, there is a train station Poplar Housing Estatewhere passenger trains on the route stop Ostrow Wielkopolski - Wroclaw.

- On the northern bank of the river Barycz is early medieval (10th-11th century) settlement, about 70 meters in diameter, with traces of a moat.
