Tysons Corner does not have an Amtrak station, but is on the Silver Line, a Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority suburban train line that connects Tysons Corner with Washington D.C. and Largo (Maryland) connects. The stations are called Spring Hill, Greensboro and Tyson's Corner Metro Station. The fare from Spring Hill Metro Station to Smithsonian Metro Station (National Mall) is $ 5.30 for a single trip during rush hour and $ 3.60 outside of rush hour (as of Fall 2016). Park & Ride is not a good idea at these stations, unless you have the nerve to park your car in one of the neighboring department store parking lots.

Tysons Corner is largely made up of shopping districts. Among other things, there are two malls here, both above the metro station Tyson's Corner can be reached:
- Tyson's Galleria, 2001 International Dr, McLean. Opened in 1988. The smaller but prettier of the two.
- Tyson's Corner Center, 1961 Chain Bridge Rd, Tysons. Mall with over 300 retailers and service providers.

Table reservations are essential, especially in the evening, as long queues form in front of the restaurant.Price: Starters $ 4-5, main courses $ 11-20.
- Shori sushi, 8603 Westwood Center Dr.. Japanese cuisine restaurant. A few Thai and other Asian dishes are also offered. Good alternative if there is no more room to be found in Shamshiri.
