By rail

Ústí nad Labem is one of the most important railway junctions in Northern Bohemia. Railway lines cross here:

Ústí nad Labem lies on the old trade route along the Vltava and the Elbe, connecting Prague and Dresden. At present, in the place of the narrow national road, the D8 Prague motorway - the border with Germany (hereinafter A17 towards Dresden) is to be built, a part of which at Usti was opened at the end of 2006. Another important route is E442, running at the foot of the Ore Mountains towards the east -west, connecting Karlovy Vary, Liberec, Hradec Králové and Olomouc with Žilina.

  • Střekov Castle from the 14th century.
  • Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Nanebevzetí Panny Marie) - built in 1318, then destroyed during the Hussite wars in 1426. Rebuilt in the years 1452–1530. The greatest Czech architects participated in the reconstruction. During the American bombing in 1945, the church tower tilted 1.98 meters and is now the most crooked tower in the Czech Republic.
  • St. Adalbert's Church - in place of the church from 1181, in 1731 a baroque temple for the Dominican Order was built.
  • The Empire-style town hall from 1847–1848
  • Numerous, architecturally interesting industrial buildings from the end of the 19th century.
  • The mansions on Churchill and Dvořáka Street were built in the 1820s in an eclectic style with elements of antiquity, renaissance and classicism.
  • The zoo was established in 1908 - nearly 1,300 animals live on an area of ​​26 ha.
  • Větruše Chateau - built in 1847 on the top of a hill. After a fire in 2000, it was bought by the city and restored in 2002–2004. It currently houses a restaurant, an excellent vantage point over the city.
