Territories and tourist destinations
Urban centers
- Barcelona - Capital of the state of Anzoátegui and with Puerto La Cruz, Lecheria and Guanta it forms one of the largest urban agglomerations in the country.
- Carúpano - It is located on the Caribbean coast, between the peninsulas of Araya and Paria, 120 km from Cumaná.
- Cumaná - Capital of the Sucre state overlooking the Gulf of Cariaco.
- Güiria - Port city of great importance founded in 1767.
- Maturín - Capital of the state of Monagas.
- Puerto La Cruz - It does not have a historical and artistic heritage to be valued, however the lively nightlife, the beautiful maritime promenade (Paseo Colón) and above all the proximity to some renowned beaches and a natural park of rare beauty such as Mochima National Park, make the city an important base for excursions and transit tourism.
Other destinations
- El Guácharo National Park - Located between the states of Monagas is Sucre, famous for its cave (Cueva del Guácharo).
- Mochima National Park - Located between the states of Anzoátegui is Sucre, extending from respectively Puerto La Cruz to Cumaná.
- Playa Medina - A perfect postcard setting with palm trees lined up on the beach.

Along the coast there are many restaurants offering various fish dishes, especially fried fish.
Drinks
- Natural fruit juices abound in this area.
- On the beaches you can find vendors offering coconut water, the liquid extracted from the fruit. In addition, there are kiosks that offer cocadas, coconut drink.
- Beer is one of the most common beverages in this region, however, it is prohibited for anyone under the age of 18.

- In the major cities of this region you can find all kinds of hotels. In the small mountain centers, on the other hand, there are huts or cabins.
