Sucre is one of the federated states Venezuelans of the Northeast Venezuela.

To know

It has some of the best and least frequented beaches in the country.

Its name derives from Antonio José de Sucre, hero of the South American wars of independence.

Geographical notes

It is located in the northern part of the country and is bordered to the north by the Caribbean Sea, to the south by the states of Anzoátegui and of Monagas, to the east with the Atlantic Ocean and to the west with the state of Anzoátegui.
