Vianden (lux .: Veianen, Veinen) is a municipality and city in Luxembourg and is the administrative seat of the canton Vianden.

Vianden is in the Little Switzerland of Luxembourg, right on the border with Germany. Vianden is worth a day trip. The famous Vianden Castle is a huge facility 85 m long and 30 m wide. The Counts of Vianden resided here. Today the title can be found in the Dutch royal family.

Vianden lies on both sides of the river Our. The neighboring municipalities of Luxembourg also have a share in the river Our: Tandel and Putscheid, in Germany border the communities Bauler, Body, Roth an der Our to the municipality; only the latter is directly on the Our.

The next major cities are Diekirch and Bitburg. The closest major city is Luxembourg city.
