Villeneuve-Loubet is a city of Alpes-Maritimes located in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. She sits halfway between Monaco and Cannes, and is open to the middle-country of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and of Fat. It enjoys a privileged location on the Côte d'Azur. Two-thirds of its area is made up of wooded areas, in particular thanks to its two departmental parks: the Vaugrenier Park and the Rives du Loup Park and it has a rich historical heritage. It also has five kilometers of coastline made up of four kilometers of beaches, the rest being dedicated to the port of Marina, which makes the town a real seaside resort. Its many facilities dedicated to walking or cycling, as well as the wide variety of events offered throughout the year, as well as its large capacity, make the city a dynamic destination perfect for families. Villeneuve-Loubet is today a base of choice for staying on the Côte d'Azur and for quickly accessing the various activities and curiosities of the Alpes-Maritimes.

Story
Villeneuve-Loubet has a pretty eventful past. Indeed, the city was built from three territories: the Gaudelet (site where the medieval fortress is located), the Guard (where the Madonna Tower is located) and the Loubet (currently Saint-Andrieu district) . The Gaudelet was conquered by Romée de Villeneuve at the beginning of the 13th centurye century and thus gave its name to the territory, the Guard was destroyed because it was a den of brigands (there remains only one tower which was the keep of the castle), and the Loubet has, he was administratively attached to Villeneuve.
Coat of arms
The Villeneuve-Loubet coat of arms, adopted in 1696, represents two crisscrossing silkworm cocoons. These are the emblem of the city because sericulture, which developed a lot from the 12the century, was one of the major assets of the town. Today you can still walk under some mulberry trees, on which silkworms used to feed, especially on the edge of Vaugrenier park.

THE'Nice-Côte d'Azur airport is the third French airport in terms of passenger traffic. It is connected to many destinations in France and Europe but there are also regular flights to other countries (Maghreb, United States ...). The airport is approximately 10 min of Villeneuve-Loubet. You can get there by bus thanks to the departmental lines 200, 217 and 250 express (this line serves the two terminals of the airport by taking the motorway, the trip costs 10 € and there is about one bus every 35 min).
By train
The Villeneuve-Loubet-Plage station located on the RD 6007 (ex RN7) is served by the TER (Regional Express Trains) of the region. However, the TGV does not stop there, the nearest stations served by the TGV are Antibes and Nice, very close, which themselves are directly connected to the big cities of France (Paris, Marseilles, Lyon, Lille...).

The A8 / E80 motorway runs from the Italian border to Aix-en-Provence and serves Villeneuve-Loubet. Coming from Aix en Provence, take exit 46 (the beaches) or 47 (RD 6007). Coming from Italy, exit n ° 47 (village and RD 6007).

Traffic in the city is rather easy, except, of course, during rush hour, and many free spaces and parking spaces are available. Only the Fighière car park located near the beach is paying during the summer. Be careful, if you come from Nice, Saint Laurent du Var, Cros-de-Cagnes or Cagnes-sur-mer, you cannot get off at Villeneuve-Loubet with a transport ticket or lines subscription. The municipality, the tourist office as well as certain professionals specializing in cycling are signatories of the welcome charter The Alpes-Maritimes by bike which makes Villeneuve-Loubet the best-equipped municipality in terms of bicycle reception of the French Riviera. It is also a stage town of theEuroVelo 8, European cycle route through the mediterranean coast French. Other cycling circuits are practicable throughout the town, such as "La Villeneuvoise" or "La Littorale". In all, the town offers more than fifteen kilometers of cycle paths to which are added the marked trails of the two natural parks that are the Vaugrenier park and the Rives du Loup park. - History & Art Museum Rue de l'Hotel de Ville - Village Open all year. Free. – This museum, located above the village info point of the Tourist Office, houses temporary and thematic exhibitions on the first floor. The second and third floors are dedicated to a unique collection retracing the history of the French army in the 20th century.e century thanks to numerous documents, uniforms, decorations, weapons, tables or even models which are presented there and are very interesting.
- The Maïoun deï Granouïe ((frp) The Heron House) Chemin du Pas de Bonne Heure - Village Free. – This local history museum installed in the old village library and managed by the association Leï Granouïe which perpetuates Villeneuvois traditions is divided into three rooms. The latter, devoted successively to agricultural life, to school and to Provençal cuisine, tell the story of yesteryear life in the village in a very authentic way, full of memories.

It is therefore only accessible during visits, during which we discover, among other things, its park, its drawbridge, its dungeon of an impressive height and its rampart walk which offers an exceptional panorama of the city and its surroundings. - Marina Baie des Anges 3 € (2 € reduced price). – This large architectural complex, built between 1969 and 1993, is to be discovered during visits organized by the Tourist Office. Starting from the gardens of the marina, the commented visit enriched with anecdotes will allow you to understand the origin and the stages of the construction of this complex classified as architectural heritage of the 20th century. - Vaugrenier from Antiquity to the present day free. – This departmental natural park of 103 hectares is at the same time a natural leisure area for families and sportsmen, a space for discovering fauna and flora but also a very old archaeological site. It is this last peculiarity that a guide from the Tourist Office will make you discover during a guided walk, thanks to excavations which have brought to light Roman remains. Walking and cycling
- Stroll along the wolf – Thanks to the development of the Rives du Loup departmental park, it is possible to take a beautiful walk from the seaside to the village. This trail of 4,5 km is accessible to the whole family, on foot or by bike depending on the section and allows you to discover a very rich vegetation and a varied fauna, from the beach to the old village.
- La Villeneuvoise circuit – Long 4 km, this shared network (bicycles and pedestrians), entirely laid out on cycle paths and paths offers a direct connection between the Croisette of the port and the heart of the Provençal village, passing by the banks of the Loup, and allows you to visit the whole town by bike.

Activities at sea
Many sports and leisure activities linked to the sea are to be tried in Villeneuve-Loubet. Thanks to the seaside equipment (sailing and diving clubs, nautical bases, floating raft, supervised swimming areas), you will be able to swim, dive, navigate, slide as you wish. In addition, a wide program of sports, fun and musical entertainment is planned for the whole summer.
