Central Visayas (Gitnang Kabisayaan) is the central region of the archipelago Philippine of the Visayas.

The region is divided into 4 provinces:
Urban centers
- Cebu - Regional capital, Cebu is part of aMetropolitan area which includes four other cities.
- Bais City - Renowned location for whale and dolphin watching crossing the Tanon Strait
- Dumaguete - City and seaside resort in the south of Negros Oriental Province, Dumaguete it's full of retirees and has been rated by Forbes magazine as one of the best places in the world to spend your retirement years.
- Siquijor - Main center on the homonymous island, Siquijor stands in front of Dumaguete and is connected to this by a frequent ferry and hydrofoil service.
- Tagbilaran - Capital of Bohol, Tagbilaran it is renowned for its tropical beaches in the surroundings and is also an excellent base for excursions to the area known as "Chocolate Hills".
Other destinations
- Apo Island - A volcanic island of less than 1 km², Apo Island is at the center of a marine park with exceptionally clear waters even in the season of appearance of plankton (from December to March). The park is a popular destination for those who practice snorkeling and scuba diving even if they have to pay a toll to access it.
- Olango Island - The largest of a small archipelago between the island of Mactan and that of Bohol. Otango hosts a protected wildlife area (Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary) with the highest concentration of migratory birds in the Philippines.
- Malapascua - Another island renowned for its exceptional seabed with coral formations that in several points form real reefs.
