Free State (African: Free State, Sotho: Forestata, English: Free State) is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. The capital is Flower fountain, also the judicial capital of South Africa.
The area is located in the Karoo Desert and the plateau bordered by the Drakensberg Mountains.

The Free State Province is subdivided into five districts:
