Waterville Valley - Waterville Valley

Waterville Valley is a tourist spot in the White Mountains region of the New Hampshire, home to numerous sporting competitions, including many races of the Alpine Skiing World Cup.

To know

Waterville Valley draws many visitors in the winter months with downhill skiing at Waterville Valley Resort and many miles of cross-country skiing trails. During the summer, attractions include a golf course, tennis courts and many excursions. The Mad River runs through the city and offers wonderful views all year round.

Background

Waterville Valley was first settled in the 1760s and incorporated as Waterville in 1829. The name Waterville Valley was only adopted in 1967.

Take Exit 28 on I-93 and follow Route 49 East for approximately 11 miles.

How to get around

Waterville Valley Resort is a pedestrian-friendly village, so once you get here, you can leave your car parked and easily walk or cycle around.

By public transport

There is also the option Waterville Valley Valley Resort Shuttle '' - Hop on the open cart for quick transport, or just enjoy a leisurely scenic ride across the valley
