Weiach is a community in Zurich Unterland.

The center of the municipality is located in a sheltered niche south of the Rhine, which forms the state border with Germany there. The community population is currently growing rapidly due to new construction projects (growth in 2017: 19%) and has 1750 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017).

Weiach lies in the approach lane for runway 14/32. When approaching runway 14, you can hardly see the town center, but on the left is the factory site of Weiacher Kies AG, the first industrial gravel construction in Switzerland.

By train

From Zurich main station with the S-Bahn to Bülach or Eglisau and from there with the S 41 (Thurbo) to the stop Kaiserstuhl AG. Weiach is about a 20-minute walk to the south-east.

By bus

From the Kaiserstuhl AG stop or from Zurich Airport with the 510 bus of the Zurich Transport Association. The village is also approached by a night bus on weekends (Sat / Sun).

In the street

From Zurich Airport via the A 51 motorway in the direction of Bülach and Eglisau, at the roundabout after the Hardwald in the direction of Basel, over the A50 bypass and continue on the main road no. 7 past the Weiacher Kies AG site to the village entrance.
