Wilderness is a city in the Garden Route in South Africa.

The small resort Wilderness lies between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean on a lagoon that is covered by the mouth of the River Touw. The place itself is quite manageable, Wilderness is administered by its larger western neighbor George.

  • Kaimaans River. The Kaimaans River flows west of Wilderness through a deep gorge and flows into the ocean. The water of the river is dark brown due to organic coloring.

  • Dolphins Point. Lookout point between Wilderness and George next to the N2.
