Arrive

By car

The A7 runs just north of Workum. Bee Bolsward you have to take the exit and then follow the signs for Workum for about 10 km.

By train

Workum station is 1.2 km from the market square. The station is on the line Leeuwarden-Stavoren, with a train in both directions once an hour.

By boat

The only boats that really visit Workum are yachts. Via the Soal you can sail from the IJsselmeer to It Soal Marina or the lock. The lock asks 5 euros lock money.

  •    Jopie Huisman Museum. Open daily from February 14 - December 30, closed Christmas Day. Museum with the almost complete collection of paintings of the rag man which became so famous in the 1970s.
