- The public gardens
- 1 Building of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation, ☎ 225 30 64 31 04. Research institute on the themes of peace dedicated to the first Ivorian president Félix Houphouët-Boigny. The International Peace Congress of 1989 and the Yamoussoukro Declaration for Peace of 1997 were organized here. The Foundation houses two amphitheaters, meeting rooms (equipped with simultaneous translation systems for eight languages), lounges and offices to host all official meetings. and private on the subject. The place is home to the Peace Museum, which covers an exhibition area of 530 square meters, and a library over 5000 square meters.
- 2 Presidential Palace. It is a six-storey building commissioned by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny, famous above all for its "Crocodile Lake" as there are two Nile crocodiles, approximately 6 meters long. Unfortunately, the safety level of the park is not the best, in fact in 2012 one of the gardeners was mauled by one of the two animals, it is therefore advisable to go to the place with an expert and competent guide.

Top view of the basilica square
- 3 Basilica of Our Lady of Peace. It represents the largest Christian church in the world, even higher than that of Saint Peter, to which the design of the dome and the square are inspired. It was consecrated on 10 September 1990 by Pope John Paul II, but the basilica in question is not a cathedral: this role belongs to the nearby Cathedral of St. Augustine, seat of the bishop of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro. During the consecration, the pope expressed his desire to build a hospital next to the basilica by laying the first stone, which still remains completely alone.
