Ząbkowice Śląskie(German: Frankenstein) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the Sudeten foreland at the foot of the Reichensteiner Mountains, a part of the Medium brews. The city is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains. It lies on the Budzówka, a tributary of the Glatzer Neisse.

The place was founded before 1287. Due to its location on the trade route from Prague above Wroclaw to Gniezno. In the course of Polish particularism, the city came to ever-changing partial duchies, most recently to the Duchy of Münsterberg, which came under the Bohemian fiefdom in 1336. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia. In 1858 the place was connected to the rail network. The place continued to develop, with the exception of the times of the world wars. In 1945 he came to Poland.
