Babble (French: Saverne) is a city in Alsace in the region Bas-Rhin, northwest of Strasbourg located.

Zabern is the capital of the Arrondissement of Saverne and the administrative seat of the Canton of Saverne.
The city lies at the foot of the Zaberner Steige (Col de Saverne), a 6 kilometer wide Vosges ridgewhich is relatively flat at 410 meters. It connects the High Rhine Plain with the Lorraine highlands. Both the railroad, the motorway and the Rhine-Marne Canal cross the Vosges here. - 3 Maison Katz: a residential and commercial building located in the pedestrian zone, built in 1605 and decorated with elaborate carvings.
- 4 Roseraie de Saverne : a rosarium
- Lock in the Rhine-Marne Canal. A lock system in the middle of the city. It is particularly impressive to watch how the ships, which are often precisely adapted to the dimensions of the locks, pass through the facility (see also photo).

- Jardin Botanique. Botanical garden at the Zaberner Steige (Col de Saverne) and Karlssprung (Saut you Prince-Charles).
- St-Jean-Saverne. St. Johann near Zabern.
- Valley of Anger. Recommended for long hikes to the castles.
- Chateau du Haut-Barr. Hohbarr Castle. Already in the Middle Ages the castle with its unique location on the sandstone rock was called "Eye of Alsace". The view extends from Saverne, over the heights of the Kochersberg and the Rhine plain to the Black Forest.
- Abbaye de Marmoutier. Maursmünster Monastery Church. Externally a Romanesque church from the 11th century, inside surprisingly with Gothic furnishings.
