Zapallar - Zapallar

Zapallar is a small town in the Región de Valparaíso. The picturesque location of the place in a small Pacific bay has made the place one of the preferred summer residences of the Chilean elite. In summer the place is also populated by countless tourists.

By plane

The nearest international airport is the airport of Santiago de Chile. From there you can go over Valparaíso or Viña del Mar get to Zapallar.

By bus

Of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar There are regular buses to Zapallar and on to Papudo. The buses run in Valparaíso on Avda. Brasil and in Viña del Mar at Plaza Vergara. The bus company Sol del Pacífico offers an almost hourly service, the single trip costs 2,500 CLP (as of April 2019). The last bus back should leave around 8:30 p.m. The travel time by bus is around 2:30 hours.

In the street

The Ruta that runs along the coast E30-F also leads past Zapallar. About the Ruta E46 there is also a connection to Ruta 5 (Panamericana).

mobility

The small place can best be explored on foot. The buses stop on Calle Olegario Ovalle.

Tourist Attractions

The picturesque location on the bay is probably the main attraction of the small town. You can hike along the sea on well-developed hiking trails.
